Terms of service
Last updated July 8, 2026
Welcome to Pages & Lattes. These terms keep the reading room pleasant. By using the site you agree to them.
The basics
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use the site.
- One account per person, tied to a real sign-in you control.
- The site is currently free; paid features, when they arrive, will come with their own clearly-posted billing terms before you're charged anything.
Your content
- What you write is yours. By posting, you give us the license we need to store and display it as part of the service (that's what makes it appear to your club or on a book page) — nothing more.
- Public content (reviews, public shelves, public club previews) is visible to anyone on the internet. Post accordingly.
- Don't post content you don't have the right to share — including copyrighted text beyond fair-use quotation.
House rules
- Honor the shield. Tag your posts and reviews honestly. Marking spoilers as "spoiler-free" to ambush other readers is the one unforgivable sin here.
- No harassment, hate, threats, or spam. Disagree about endings, kindly.
- No illegal content, no sexual content involving minors (instant removal and report to authorities), no impersonation, no attempts to break or overload the service.
- Club hosts may set stricter rules for their clubs and may remove or block members; we may moderate any public content and any account that violates these terms.
Clubs
- Hosts control their club's membership, books, and meetups. Removal from a club is at the host's discretion.
- Free and education accounts have posted limits (clubs owned, members per club); we may adjust limits with notice.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, email hello@pagesandlattes.com with the location of the content, proof of your ownership, and your contact details, and we'll respond promptly.
The unavoidable part
The service is provided "as is," without warranties. We work hard to keep it running and to keep spoilers sealed, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service or that no spoiler will ever slip through a mistagged post. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months (today: nothing). These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
Ending things
You can delete your account anytime from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. If we make material changes to these terms we'll update the date above and note it on the site.
